We Visited Bursa - Üçge Company Within the Scope of Customer Experiences!
As a part of our Customer Experiences, AES Group met with Taner Guler, ÜÇGE Store Equipments and Shelf Systems Production Group Manager, one of the leading companies of the sector.
Mr. Güler could you tell us about your company and your activities?
ÜÇGE is one of the biggest suppliers of the retail sector in the world with 41 years of experience in store equipment and shelf systems. ÜÇGE, which exports to 90 countries of the world, has 80.000m2 production area in 5 different factories established in Bursa. The company, which has distributorship in 40 countries, manufactures store equipment and warehouse shelf systems for various productions such as hypermarket, supermarket, construction market, electronics market, boutique, pharmacy, glassware and other different equipment of the industry and warehouse branches.
With its 13 regional offices in Turkey and 750 employees, ÜÇGE provides 24-hour service 7 days. ÜÇGE with its 90 thousand tons of steel and 50 thousand layers of wood raw material processing capabilities, is moving with the goal of becoming number one in an international level.
When did you first meet AES company?
As ÜÇGE, we use state-of-the-art machines and robotic systems in our production processes. We follow international important fairs closely. We would notice AES at the fairs regularly. We started mutual visits and shared information. Last year, we needed a new dimensioning machine other than the sizing machine in our machine park.
We have preferred the nesting machines that we consider to be suitable for boutique production. As a result of our performance-price comparison, we chose AES machines.
Which AES machines do you use?
We use AES Raptor LINE-R 2142 CNC Milling Production Line Machine. We have not experienced any service issues. I would like to especially mention that we are satisfied with the Technical Service wince we started using the machines. It is important to choose work lists that can be processed with less waste to take the load of the panel sizing machines, which require special, flexibility, so the correct processing of the layers to be machined is required. We always want to run our machines with minimum capacity losses.
In order to prevent panel feed losses in these machines, we started panel sizing and integration of AES machines with panel transport and stock system. The aim here was that the operator would feed the machine without touching the layer and using the screen would move the desired panel to the lift unit. In the integration of both machines, the experience of AES Company and AES Technical Service Team has benefited greatly.
What changes have been made in your production after AES?
We can say that AES RAPTOR machines provide us with flexibility in production. It is now possible to complete the process, including simple hole machining on both parts, with less wastage, while cutting non-flat, nesting and similar cuts with panel sizing and also can perform the cutting and milling process in a single sitting which would otherwise require two processes with a CNC.
In addition, with our machines with double vacuum pump machines that are custom made with 45° to match the appropriate diamond blades we reduce the possibility of a work accident in the circular saw and we can complete the single dimensioning and 45° cutting processes.
