WE VISITED UZAY MUTFAK IN GEBZE!

Within the scope of Customer Experiences, we Visited Uzay Mutfak in Gebze!

“As AES Group, we visited Uzay Mutfak in Gebze / Kocaeli as part of our Customer Experiences. We had a chat about expectations, satisfaction, and our products with Uzay Mutfak, where our company has been as a solution partner for many years.”

Can you tell us about your company and your activities?

In 1992, Uzay Mutfak started its commercial life in Gebze, as a kitchen cabinets distributor for Starwood A.Ş. This lasted for approximately 4 years and then Starwood A.Ş., decided to shut down İstaş Mobilya, and Uzay Mutfak had to remain a manufacturer company. Production was not a very easy task, of course, when you look at the beginning of the machine purchase, there was a lot of challenging process such as preparing the production site. But this period has passed. At that time, it was much more advantageous than in this period, because standard products were concentrated on and there were very few color options. Our measurements were standard and we were selling products to our customers in the standard size. However, when we look at the conditions today, there are more and more different products and special productions compared to the past, approximately 60% of our production is realized from special production. As the process progressed and with an increased number, of dealers, we begin to serve Turkey with 29 sale points and 3 abroad, totaling 32.

When did you first meet AES company?

Since we were receiving projects from 32 different locations and would come across different customer requests with different perspectives, it became difficult to produce them. In this period, we started to work to provide the right quality and the right products to our customers as a system while looking for a solution. We started researching to see what we could do and met with AES. They told us about Cabinet Vision. We had previously used CNC machines, but we were unfamiliar with flat table technology and we didnt expect much but obviously we had some hesitations because of being a local company because CNC is a delicate job so you need to be very careful, you dont know what will happen, and you have spare parts? are they of quality or robust? these issues remained a question mark in our minds. But despite this, we started to work because we had to and needed to.

What changes have you experienced with AES in your production logic?

AES has taken us to a very different level regarding machines because our goal was to only perform cutting. We only placed importance on cutting and the rest didnt matter because we were having too much trouble cutting. We had a personnel-dependent system, the high morale of our staff, the fact that they could not be sick was very important for us. Hence cutting was enough for us in the first place, but when we saw that we were cutting right, we started to wonder how could we do different things, and how we could shift production here, and we started working on it. We didnt anticipate that the Cabinet Vision program on AES could be so mobile. When we look at it today, we can actually see that the products weve had difficulty with in the past can actually be made in a much simpler manner. We rebuilt the entire module library in Cabinet Vision and with communicating with the drawing program we used in our stores, we started to send them to AES machine in production. This process so delightful that we started to shift the entire production in other machines to that area.

Was the Cabinet Vision program useful for production efficiency?

Combining projects, sending them in, and then extracting that project in a confusing environment and getting to the details of that project was perfect because everything within the Cabinet Vision is actually available to the user. It is important that you only use what you can use, and I think that some people even if they are not very specialized in this area would be able to use it. Because we werent already a programmer or very professional program users. But due to our curiosity in our business, we saw that we could solve them very easily and we started to enjoy this work. With the data contained in Cabinet Vision, just as I said, you can define the identity of a part on a label, and with the defined identity you can reach them and define the identity of that part on a label. Through the defined identity, if you want to process the machine in another machine, for example, if you want to perform side hole operations on the AES SIRIUS hole machine, when you draw and send it to the system, everything is ready. Once the personnel scans the barcode and presses the start button to start, the rest is the job of the machine and the program.

Would you recommend AES to your customers?

Of course, Cabinet Vision is a very important program in terms of the data it contains and mobility. I think that AES is the machine that can have a correct outcome with correct production. AES this is really a value associated with our CNC, it has significantly reduced its dependence to the outside and I strongly recommend this machine and system to the users in the whole industry. Thank you
